Getting Better with the Guitar

I had been playing Guitar Hero for about 3 months before I got it in my head that I should actually learn to play the guitar. I ran out and bought a guitar one day and then just started looking for instruction on the web. I found some good lessons for beginners and it was really slow going at first, but then something happened and I started to get better and better. I think I’m pretty good now and I’ve even advance to an alternate picking exercise that I am finally beginning to get a handle on. The video game really wasn’t much help.
