Master Painting with Acrylic

For those who are interested in painting with acrylics, you’d be happy to know that there are plenty of interesting acrylic painting techniques that could spice up any old painting. Some of these techniques are very basic, while some require a little bit more mastery of the medium to pull off. Some of the more interesting techniques include using acrylic to achieve a watercolor effect. Acrylic is excellent for transparency, just like watercolor is. Another technique is called the Sgraffito. This involves painting in layers over other layers of paint and then scratching the top layer with sharp tools to achieve different patterns in different shades.
