Leave Electric Work to the Professionals

A friend of mind claimed to know a little about electricity and attempted to give me electrical advice. I followed his advice and wasn’t comfortable doing what he told me to do. He decided to come to my house and try it himself. That was a huge mistake! He had his needle nose pliers out and touched something on my heating control box. There was an enormous BOOM and he stumbled backwards a few steps. From that point on I have had no heat in my living room. I had to call an electrician to repair everything . It ended up costing me extra in the long run. They had to fix his mistakes PLUS correct the problem. The bottom line is do not trust an amateur with electrical work.
