Fix the winlogon.exe – application error in 2 minutes

Have you decided to repair or format your windows to fix the winlogon.exe – application error, then you should know that repairing the windows won’t actually help. It will solve the problem only temporarily. You can follow the procedure explained below.
This may sound a bit adventurous and risky, but you always have the option of repairing or restoring your system to a past point, in case something goes wrong. Go into your registry and dump everything containing the phrase winlogon.exe. In addition, run a general file search and dump every winlogon.exe file you can, including cache and prefetch files. You don’t need to dump the main winlogon.exe unless a virus scan shows that it is also infected. Reboot the system and you will not see the winlogon exe application error again.
